MIN AL-DAKHIL | INTERIORS
-
The title of this body of work, Min Al-Dakhil | Interiors, references an essay by Edward Said.
This series explores portraiture in an expanded sense - though the figures are not literally depicted, their essence is portrayed through their home environment. As the figures featured experience displacement and exile, these portraits become documentary record and simultaneously exist in a limbo migratory state.
-
This body of work is an ongoing series that I am slowly building out over a decade.
