In Flood Pulse, Hannah Atallah combines copper wire, built up layers of paint that retain transparency, rice paper, canvas and refurbished skateboard decks into a reflection on flood plains. Inspired by the migratory freedom of aquatic life and the organic rhythm of flood plains, Atallah invites us to contemplate flow and patterns of movement amidst waves of change.
Atallah has programmed a diverse series of workshops and events throughout Flood Pulse’s debut at Lost Origins Gallery featuring performing artists, live music, tattooing, film screenings and a fundraiser for the 7Hills // AlRaseef153 skatepark and art space in Amman, Jordan.

100% of the money from the skate decks I refurbished and painted and corresponding grip tapes by DC’s own Hootie Hoo in this show will be donated to 7Hills + AlRaseef153 in Amman, Jordan.
